Go West Day was part of the traditional rivalry between C.E. Byrd and Fair Park that culminated with a Thanksgiving day football game between the two schools.

Byrd students dressed up as “Cowboys” and Fair Park students dressed up as “Indians”.

(Fair Park‘s mascot was a Native American." Ours was "Jack the Jacket"…a yellow jacket wasp, so not sure why we didn't dress up as wasps.)
